• EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Community Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, APRN, or Clinical Psychologist for the position of Executive Director. Responsible for the Administrative and Clinical operation of the agency which provides mental health services for both adults and children.
A thorough understanding of the laws and policies of the mental health system and Connecticut licensing requirements a must. Scope of responsibility includes the oversight of program development, fiscal management, and staff relations.
This position requires collaboration with outside agencies and professional health care systems to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of care for individuals seeking service. A minimum of five years of extensive professional experience providing services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness and at least two years in an administrative position providing program development and oversight. Civil Service Commission Mission
It is the primary responsibility of the Civil Service Commission to administer employment examinations to ensure town employees are hired and promoted based on merit. The Commission is committed to providing department heads with qualified candidates who have proven through the testing process that they are the best qualified to fill positions within the town.
The Civil Service Commission is committed to building a workforce that reflects the
diversity of our society through expanding the Town’s use of advertising and participation in regional examiinations and to uphold the principles of the Merit System.
The Commission consists of a three member board that is appointed by the Mayor.
The Chief Examiner is a Civil Service employee, hired by the Commission staff and provide the daily administration of the office. The service the Commission provides to taxpayers is twofold.
- First, it is a resource to those interested in a career in public service.
- Second, by ensuring the testing process is fair and unbiased, the most qualified candidates are hired to provide the best quality of service to the citizens of East Haven.
