East Haven’s newest public park now has an online photo album called The Birth of a New Public Park in East Haven CT.

Sponsor a Park Bench at Cosey Beach Park

You’re invited to participate in the Sponsorship of Memorial Park Benches at the Cosey Beach Park. These benches are constructed with long lasting recycled plastic in cedar and brown. They are 6 feet long with 2 engraved boards, 20 characters are included per board. Read the application for more information.

2009 PARK UPDATES

APRIL 2009
Recently the plans for the park have been modified slightly. The reasons behind some of the modifications are detailed below, discussed in these letters sent to the committee members and can be viewed in this updated park plan.

The architect who drafted the conceptual plan design did not take into consideration critical factors such as the location of the water main coming in from Cosey Beach Avenue, or the fire hydrant and sewer hook-ups, or the ADA requirements regarding parking spaces and aisles, etc... As a result, some things such as the location of the splash pad had to be adjusted to maintain compliance. The park is staying in line with the conceptual plan design the committee and other community activists brought forward.
