Mayor Almon demonstrates her political philosophies in the following quotes. This quote was taken from her inagural address.
"We're going to work together to usher in a new era of open-door government for our town."

"Election Day is over. It is time to put our energy into working together to better our town," Capone Almon said. "East Haven belongs to all of us - Democrat, Republican and Independent. We need to work as partners in our community."
"What I would like to see is a lot of regular people come out and serve the town as well," she said. "We've got a lot of people who have served the town well for a long time ... but I would also like to see some new faces."
