• On October 18, 2010 The Secretary of the State’s Office, Susan Bysiewicz along with East Haven Mayor April Capone held a Korean War Veterans Appreciation Ceremony in the Auditorium at the East Haven High School. Two hundred veterans and their families came out to the ceremony where they were presented with certificates.   East Haven Mayor April Capone is pictured with board members and musicians of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO). The NHSO has brought its famed Pops Series concerts to East Haven this season. The NHSO will perform its annual Holiday Extravaganza, Friday, December 11, 7:30pm at the East Haven High School featuring NHSO Associate Conductor Gerald Steichen, and special guests, the Elm City Girls’ Choir and Metropolitan Opera virtuoso, Lorraine Ernest.
