Summer Brings Amended Noise Ordinance & Check Points
The Mayor’s Office has announced the receipt of a grant to create 8 checkpoints this summer. Speeding, checking for sobriety, seat belts, and other motor vehicle infractions will be the focus. the Town Council will amend the current noise ordinance at its July meeting to adopt noise levels currently enforced by the Connecticut State Police. Residents are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing on the Noise Ordinance, July 7, 2009 at 7:00 at the Senior Center. Vew PRESS RELEASE for details.
