The Court’s Staff:
Mary–Beth Cronk, Chief Clerk
Eileen Sweeney, Clerk
Beverly Stanton and Barbara Kieslich, Assistant Clerks

North Haven and East Haven merged their courts into a single court in January 2011. Now known as the East Haven – North Haven Court, the newly consolidated court is located in the east haven Town Hall, on 250 Main Street (see directions below).

The Probate Court has jurisdiction by Connecticut General Statutes to handle specific types of matters that affect the residents of East Haven. Most commonly the Court monitors and supervises the distribution of a person’s property after death, but there are other matters the Court deals with as well: custody, guardianship and adoption of minors, the appointment of conservators for individuals with an intellectual disability.

Unfortunately the Court no longer handles passports. We are sorry for the inconvenience. You can call the Wallingford Probate Court at (203) 294–2100, the East Haven Post Office (203) 469–9071 or you can access the closest passports locations at the U.S. Department of State Travel.State.Gov Passport Acceptance Facility Search Page.
