Former East Haven First Lady Celebrates 100th Birthday & Receives Mayoral Proclamation ! ----

Former East Haven “First Lady” Marie Messina receives a Mayoral Proclamation from Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr., in honor of Messina’s 100th Birthday celebrated recently at Branford Hills Health Care Center. Mrs. Messina is the wife of former East Haven Mayor Frank Messina, who served in that capacity from 1967 to 1975. For many years Marie served on the Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, Merit Award Committee and Rotary Club, in addition to being the honorary Treasurer for the Town of East Haven.
