Remembering the 1970s: A Free Concert on the East Haven Town Green, Hemingway Avenue in East Haven

East Haven: Join the Hagaman Memorial Library at the East Haven Town Green on Hemingway Avenue at the Gazebo on Wednesday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. for a free concert "Remembering the 1970s." 

Do you remember the Seventies? Didn’t you love all those great hits by James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, Carole King and many others?

Francine Evans and Joel Zelnik present a memorable collection of songs including: “Both Sides Now,” “(Take Me Home) Country Roads,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Take It Easy,” – and more!

Masks and social distancing are not required, and concert goers can bring their own food and drinks. Each attendee also must bring their own chair: no chairs will be provided.

Francine Evans is a singer, pianist, guitarist, songwriter and theatrical producer with a lifetime of experience in all styles of music. Having taught herself piano in two hands at the age of 3, Francine has produced over 100 shows and has appeared in clubs and folk venues on both the East and West Coasts.

Joel Zelnik  serves on the Closter Historic Preservation Commission which has taken his original proposal to save one of the few surviving Lustron Homes in the U.S. into a living museum highlighting mid 20th Century America. Concert-goers, please note that parking is best on River and Park Street. You can also park across in the Stop & Shop lot and cross in the cross walks. PLEASE NOTE: There is a rain date for this concert of Wednesday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m.
