Parks Now Open
East Haven playgrounds are open effective today. We know it’s important to have open spaces outdoors for children. Staying active in fresh air is great for stress and staying healthy for all ages.
Effective today, the following will be open:
Playgrounds, the Skatepark located on Hudson Street, and our Tennis Courts. Unfortunately, this does not include basketball courts at this time, per recommendations from the ESDH. We will update you when we have further information.
When visiting playgrounds, please see CDC recommendations below.
- Visit parks and recreation areas that are close to your home.
- Don’t visit crowded parks.
- Carefully consider use of playgrounds, and help children follow guidelines.
- Stay at least 6 feet away from people you don’t live with.
- Wear a mask if feasible. Masks are most essential in times when social distancing is difficult.
- Wash your hands often and don’t share items with people you don’t live with.
