Town Hall to Reopen

Press Release:

June 18, 2020

Mayor Carfora wants to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during these past months through this pandemic. We are now reopening Town Hall and below are the details.

The East Haven Town Hall will reopen to the public on Monday, June 22 with limited access.  Face coverings are mandatory.  Department specific guidelines have been developed and are outlined below to ensure the safety of our employees and town hall guests.  To ensure the orderly implementation of these guidelines, there will be a greeter stationed at a podium at the front entrance to assist, monitor, and to count the number of individuals entering the building.   Capacity will be determined by the number of guests allowed in each department.  Once capacity is reached, the greeter will then ask people to wait outside-- while waiting in all instances please keep social distance. When a guest leaves, the greeter will then call in the next guest.

Town Hall has been outfitted to meet guidelines put forth by the CDC and East Shore District Health. In all instances, all guests in town hall will be required to adhere to all social distancing markings.

Please do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19. Hand sanitizers are located on all counters/ common areas for your use. If you are sick, do not enter Town Hall and please contact your health provider.

Many departmental services are available through our website.  If a service that you need is offered on-line, we encourage you to utilize it in that manner, if you are able to do so; please contact a specific department for assistance navigating our on- line options.
